As a part of the Mercedes-Benz AG Group, environmental protection has strong roots in the STAR TRANSMISSION philosophy, because we are well aware of our responsibility towards the environment. The implementation of the environmental protection system consists of three steps:<\/p>\n

1. We identify the factors that can harm the environment
\n2. We carefully evaluate the production processes and products, from the very design phase
\n3. We make decisions based on the aforementioned procedures.<\/p>\n

Based on the requirements regarding the environmental policy of the Mercedes-Benz AG Group, the particular situation of the location and activity, we have established concrete and specific principles of action for the Cugir manufacturing facility. All measures aim to avoid environmental pollution or to reduce air, water, living environment pollution to a minimum.<\/p>\n

Our directives regarding environmental protection are the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 The STAR TRANSMISSION units of Cugir and Sebe\u0219 must remains examples to follow for the companies in the region and beyond;
\n\u2022 Our products are manufactured with economical usage of the raw materials and utilities. We promote ecological circuits of our materials and utilities.
\n\u2022 In the planning, execution and production phase, we observe all aspects regarding the protection of the environment;
\n\u2022 We supervise the production activities and the waste production at the manufacturing facility in Cugir and we strive to reduce, on the long term, the negative effects upon the environment;
\n\u2022 We inform, we train and we instruct our collaborators. We transfer accountability to our employees and we involve them in our environmental management system;
\n\u2022 We trustfully cooperate with the authorities and other industry associations;
\n\u2022 We hold all the necessary approvals for the operation of our Company.<\/p>\n

The environmental management system is certified according to SR EN ISO 14001:2015 and Cor1:2009<\/p>\n
