Dual education allows pupils enrolled in a state vocational school to develop their practical knowledge in the real work environment offered by companies, to be acquainted with the work environment directly in the company that needs the pupil\u2019s skills. <\/p>\n

\nThe dual school at Star Transmission and Star Assembly is a significant part of the development strategy to ensure the next generation of talents of the two companies. Dual vocational training offers the possibility of developing skills of the younger generations, giving them the chance and, at the same time, the necessary means of training to become good professionals.
\n<\/br><\/p>\n
The companies\u2019 involvement in the dual school dates back in 2013, when we joined the first dual school in the county \u2013 Alba German Vocational School, located in a building of the Technical College “Alexandru Dom\u0219a”, providing a first training as electromechanic for industrial equipment and installations; later, the curricula extended with CNC operator. In 2019, we started our collaboration with the Technical College “Ion D. L\u0103z\u0103rescu” Cugir, offering the same two specializations, and from 2021, Sebe\u0219 Technological High School, where we introduced a new qualification of subassembly fitter for automatic assembly lines.

Star Transmission & Star Assembly host professional training facilities in both locations, Sebe\u0219 and Cugir, providing the best conditions for practice and learning, with classrooms and modern equipment (electromechanical stand, pneumatic and hydraulic stand, numerically controlled machine tools). Here, by performing practical work under the guidance and supervision of specialists in the field, pupils lay the foundation in the trades of electromechanic, CNC operator and subassembly fitter for automatic lines.

A significant share of the internship period of the electromechanics is carried out within the Maintenance department, while CNC operators and subassemblies fitters conduct their practice directly in the production lines, in order to accommodate with the conditions and requirements of their future job. \nStar Transmission and Star Assembly currently support 270 students of the dual school, throughout the 3-year program. The program can be accessed by eighth-grade graduates, and the share of practical and theoretical training hours in each year of study is detailed below.
