The Company
STC & STA is an international component supplier for the automotive industry, a producer of complex Powertrain components such as gears, shafts, mechanically processed components for engines, transmissions and steering gear boxes. Since 2013, our companies also carry out the assembly of 5-speed, 7-speed and 9-speed transmissions.

As a joint venture between Mercedes-Benz AG – the Transmission Production Department and the Romanian Ministry of Industries, we combine, in a location of Transylvania, the know-how of both partners regarding the processing of metals, with local benefits for the economic development.

Our demanding customers and collaborators, mostly in the automotive industry, consider STC/STA a safe and competent partner able to respond with top quality to the customers’ numerous requirements.

The Customer
Our supreme objective is the satisfaction of our customers. We want to satisfy our customers with an eloquent quality and guaranteed sales. Our actions are based on the understanding of our customers’ requirements.
Top quality, product safety, active environment protection and work security are, in our view, key-elements for the actions contributing to the assurance of sustainable success in the market.

The principles of our Company are the following:
1. Continuous improvement of our customers’ satisfaction through top quality products. Our objective is zero defects.
2. Manufacturing processes and production facilities that meet the recognized state of the art standards for technology and security technology along with optimal and flexible planning.
3. Qualified, motivated and responsible employees who respect the quality, environment and occupational safety requirements.
4. Effective and uniform management system, which should offer a guarantee through regular evaluation, compliance with quality assurance procedures for continuous improvement in both the environmental field and occupational safety.
5. Legally and environmentally relevant requirements, as well as others that are considered as minimum standard and a challenge for improvement.
6. Implementation of the manufacturing processes which protect our employees and the environment from harmful influences, but at the same time comply with quality and productivity requirements.

Employees
Customer satisfaction, financial goals, quality goals and others alike influence the motivated and success-focused employees, who identify themselves with the Company policy and consequently involve themselves in the daily work.
This requires a management style that involves creativity, consciousness, commitment and the will to decide within the established framework conditions that should be met.

Against this background, for STC, leadership means:

Social Responsibility
We are part of a dynamic society to whose stability and prosperity we would like to contribute. As one of the largest employers in Alba county but also in the region, we are aware that we are greatly responsible for our Cugir and Sebeș locations. One of our declared objectives is precisely to sustain the development of these locations hence, as a Mercedes-Benz AG company, we have an exemplary function in terms of compliance with the rules, as well as the internal and external laws and regulations.

Our actions are based on the “Compliance Directives”, the “Business Conduct Standard”, the “Code of Ethics”, as well as the guidelines referring to themes such as: “anticorruption”, “conflict of interest” and “heritage protection”.

Of particular importance are also:
Ethical rules: We aim for a higher ethical behaviour. All STC employees are advised to be responsible in all their actions and sincerely and honestly use their own reasoning. It is forbidden to discredit one’s position in the Company for personal purposes. Every employee should be aware of his/her exemplary position in the Company and act accordingly.
Ecology: Environmental protection forms an integral part of our Company policy, closely related to our actions. Each employee is required to actively protect the environment through his/her decisions and actions.
Compliance with the Law:The relevant laws in force are strictly observed in all Company decisions and actions.
