Within Star Transmission there are six HUB structures, organizations that include service providers for Mercedes-Benz. These divisions operate independently of the department, but also together with it, through complementary work packages in the main ongoing projects in Sebes and Cugir. From an organizational point of view, HUBs are local, but from the area of activity, teams have combined tasks from both Star Transmission and Star Assembly, as well as consulting tasks for projects within Mercedes-Benz Germany or internationally.

The HUBs within Star Transmission perform the following functions:
• Planning HUB: international acceptances, battery planning support, partner planning services such as layout updates, robot purchase and work plans.
• Tec HUB: tool management engineering, norming, disposition and test bench engineering.
• Design HUB: CAD and CAM design – computer-assisted design and manufacture using NX11.
• Cost Planning HUB: reference calculation for product projects.

Finance HUB:
• HPU calculation, Product and Financial Controlling, Purchasing services, RPA Optimization.
• Logistics Planning HUB: Planning and developing special packaging. Material flow and intralogistic planning for existing and new projects.
