Sebeș, Romania: at Star Assembly, we believe that our business and social responsibility go hand in hand. Our company aims to strike a balance between our growth and our responsibility to add value to the local community in important social issues such as education, culture, health and environment. According to this philosophy/ambition/strategy, Star Assembly this year decided to sponsor 600,000 euros for the hospitals of Sebes and Cugir and thereby support the steady development of its medical quality and standards.

Star Assembly supports the Municipal Hospital of Sebeș with a sponsorship of 400,000 euros. Through this sponsorship, the hospital will benefit from general rehabilitation work necessary for the hospital to reach the highest standards of medical care. In addition, part of the amount will be used to purchase an elevator for the hospital’s maternity ward.

Star Assembly supports Cugir Town Hospital with a sponsorship of 200,000 euros. The amount is directed towards the purchase of medical devices for the maternity and pediatric ward of the hospital, which is currently undergoing rehabilitation.
Florin Arion, manager of the medical unit: “The action of our partners at Star Transmission and Star Assembly is part of the range of actions directed towards the hospital’s activity, along with other material acts previously performed such as the support given to Cugir Hospital for its activity in different specialties and the support to fight with the current pandemic, by purchasing medical equipment, protective materials, sanitary materials and medicine. We welcome the initiative of the representatives the company and I would like to guarantee that through this sponsorship, they have obviously contributed to the increase of the quality of the medical act within the maternity and gynecology sections of the hospital in the town of Cugir.”

In addition to the support towards the hospitals, due to the unprecedented disruptions caused by the coronavirus outbreak, the company has actively engaged its CSR strategy by stepping up to battle COVID-19. To date, more than 300.000 euros were donated to hospitals in the counties of Alba, Sibiu, Hunedoara as well as the Red Cross towards coronavirus relief.
