March 2003 marked the start of a collaboration with JTEKT Europe Ltd (the former KOYO STEERING EUROPE) – the biggest producer of steering mechanisms in Europe, based in Lyon (France). The visit accounts for the start of the collaboration of STC with one of the most important customers of the Cugir company.
A significant event in the life of STC, and in the life of Cugir town, is THE GRANTING OF THE TITLE OF HONORARY CITIZEN OF CUGIR to Mr. Volker Stauch – President of the General Meeting of STC Shareholders – from 2001 to 2007.
The first issue of the STC MAGAZINE was published and it was named “Actualitatea STC” (STC News), a name chosen from multiple versions proposed by STC employees.
In the summer of 2003, STC organized the first event to which the employees and their families were invited: OPEN DAY. Various entertaining competitions were organized for children.
