It is the year when the manufacturing line for camshaft – NWR (for Smart, OM660 diesel engines) was transferred from Hamburg to Hall 4 in Cugir. This was the moment when the camshaft started to be produced using a new STC technology: the hydraulic tensioning process (at a pressure of 3,000 bar).
STC portfolio gained two important orders in 2007: the X62 project from JTEKT and the chain wheels for M276/M278 from Mercedes-Benz AG.

Between March and June 2007, renovation works took place at Hall 5 in Cugir. It is where “STC ESTIVAL 2007”, the annual party dedicated to the STAR TRANSMISSION employees, was organized.

The official opening of Hall 5 in Cugir took place in October 2007. It was the month when the first components and devices were also delivered to Mercedes-Benz AG. The shipment permit for the cargo was symbolically signed by all those involved in the production of materials.
